This group focuses on building choral skills. Singers work on fundamental music literacy and vocal technique issues, while performing at multiple concerts and events. This choir is open to all Tenor and Bass voices, regardless of prior experience. This group will compete at UIL as the Non-Varsity Tenor Bass Choir.

This group of treble voices focuses on building choral skills. Singers work on fundamental music literacy and vocal technique issues, while performing at multiple concerts and events. This choir is open to all treble voices regardless of prior experience. This group will compete at UIL as the Sub Non-Varsity Treble Choir.

This group consists of treble voices with advancing skills and vocal technique. Entrance to this ensemble is by audition and these singers will compete at UIL as the Non-Varsity Treble Choir. Students in this choir are strongly encouraged to participate in extra-curricular competitions such as the TMEA All-State Choir Auditions and UIL Solo and Ensemble.

Chorale is a mixed voices group with advanced skills in sight-reading and vocal technique. Singers must possess the skills to learn and sing music of a highly advanced nature.

A formal audition is a requirement for membership and the choir will compete at UIL as the Varsity Mixed Choir. In addition, these singers will also compete as the Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir and the Varsity Treble Choir. Students in this choir are strongly encouraged to participate in extra-curricular competitions such as the TMEA All-State Choir Auditions and UIL Solo and Ensemble. In addition to during school rehearsals, Chorale will rehearse Monday evenings from 5:00-6:30 pm.

This group serves as a multi-function group of advanced singers that performs at various community and recruitment functions. The musical focus of the ensemble will be geared toward “Broadway/Pop Review” shows as well as highly advanced chamber choir repertoire. A special audition is required for this group and members must also be enrolled in Chorale (no exceptions!). There will be extra fees associated with this group.
